    Project Overview

    Project Overview

Morlenn Express ensures maritime transport for personnel working for the Defense sector between various military sites in the Brest harbor, as part of public contracts.

The company will replace its six passenger vessels as part of the renewal of its contract with the Ministry of Defense. The Spanish shipyard Armon Shipyards will deliver these vessels between 2026 and 2028.

Key technical specifications: the vessels are 29.80-meter aluminum catamarans, capable of accommodating up to 400 passengers and reaching a maximum speed of 20 knots.

The cutting of the first steel plate, symbolizing the start of construction for the first ferry (Bindy II), took place in early October 2024 at the Armon shipyard in Navia, Spain.

The next milestone, the keel laying (more accurately a deck laying, as the hull is built upside down!), was carried out in December 2024.

Morlenn Express is part of Compagnie Maritime Nantaise - MN, a subsidiary of the Sogestran Group.
